President Elect: Ryan Chan RN, MN, PhD(c) Ryan Chan is a PhD student at the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Western University. In addition to his graduate studies, Ryan is also currently working as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department at London Health Sciences Centre. Ryan is also a Lecturer at the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing at Western University, teaching both undergraduate and graduating Nursing Informatics courses. Furthermore, Ryan is also passionately involved with other professional and charitable organizations within his local community and beyond. Location: London, Ontario |
President: Monica Purdy RN, MN Monica Purdy is the past president of the Ontario Nursing Informatics Group. She has great experience in health care management, health informatics, and nursing education. Monica currently works as an After-Hours Clinical Manager with Unity Health. Treasurer: Judita Szilagyi RN Judita Szilagyi, RN is the Senior Manager (previously Care Coordinator) for the Central East Local Health Integrated Network (LHIN) and Community Care Division. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Ryerson University. Judita has extensive experience in Clinical and Nursing Informatics and Information Systems. Location: Peterborough, Ontario |
Membership Officer: Farah Rai RN, EMHI(c) Farah Rai has held various positions at Trillium Health Partners (THP), serving as a critical care nurse and an informatics workflow analyst. She is currently pursuing an Executive Master’s in Health Informatics at the University of Toronto. In partnership with THP’s Informatics Department, Farah is working on a Master’s project that aims to improve clinician efficiency. Driven by her passion for informatics, Farah is excited to promote the understanding of informatics and contribute to meaningful application of technology in the healthcare industry. Education Officer: Michael Peng RN, MScN, CPHIMS-CA Michael Peng, has 10 years of healthcare experience in community and public health. Michael has led multiple information system implementations, migrations, workflow development and systems training. Utilizing data analytics, health informatics and change management principles, Michael is passionate about creating innovative digital solutions to improve patient and provider outcomes. Michael is excited to help coordinate and increase awareness of trending and meaningful digital health innovations. Location: Toronto, Ontario |
