Gillian Strudwick RN, PhD is the Chief Nursing Officer (Interim) and Scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. She is also an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto where she teaches in the Master of Health Informatics program and supervises graduate students. She holds academic affiliations with the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing at Western University, and the School of Health Information Science at the University of Victoria.

Judita Szilagyi, RN is a Care Coordinator for the Central East Local Health Integrated Network (LHIN) and Community Care Division. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Ryerson University. Judita has extensive experience in Clinical and Nursing Informatics and Information Systems.

Dr. Lorie Donelle, is an Associate Professor at Western University in the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing and a Scientist with the Lawson Health Research Institute in London Ontario. She holds an endowed research chair - the Arthur Labatt Family Chair in Nursing focused on digital health. Dr. Donelle’s research addresses issues of health literacy, social justice, and digital health. Her research investigates technology enabled models of homecare and the relationships between health information technologies and client / clinician health practices. Dr. Donelle sits on international and national advisory committees for health literacy and digital health.

Ryan Chan is a PhD student at the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Western University. In addition to his graduate studies, Ryan is also currently working as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department at London Health Sciences Centre. Furthermore, Ryan is also passionately involved with other professional and charitable organizations within his local community and beyond.

Hyun Jung Park is currently a second-year nursing student from the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. She has previously completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in human biology and biochemistry at the University of Toronto. Hyun Jung Park is actively involved with professional organizations and is passionate about continuously learning and expanding her knowledge related to science and technology. By applying both nursing and technological knowledge, she hopes to bring more insight into nursing informatics knowledge development to create safer, efficient, and higher quality patient care.

Rico is a Registered Nurse with experience in general medicine, critical care and clinical informatics. He has worked on multiple health information system implementations and optimizations while focusing on using technology to support nursing practice with the help of evidence-based practices. Rico now works as a consultant for Healthtech Consultants to support healthcare organizations in performing requirements gathering, system design, workflow redevelopment, education sessions, cutover planning and go-live activities. Rico will be completing a Masters of Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Informatics in February 2021.

Barbara Davies, BScN, RN, MHI, is a nurse with over 10 years’ experience in various roles. She currently works at Laurentian University managing the collaborative nursing program. Previously to this position, Barbara worked in clinical informatics at Health Sciences North gaining knowledge and expertise as an informatician. While working within this role,Barbara furthered her studies by completing a Masters in Health Informatics at the University of Waterloo. Barbara has been involved in decision making aspects since her time as an undergraduate student at Laurentian University. Barbara believes health informatics is a vital component of health professionals education which will assist with moving digital health forward. Barbara has been a member of RNAO since 2008 and a member of ONIG since 2013. Barbara is excited to take on a more integral role of secretary with ONIG allowing her to further explore informatics and digital health.

Mackenzie Heath is a student in the Executive Master of Health Informatics program at the University of Toronto. In addition, to her graduate studies, Mackenzie is a full-time nurse in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at SickKids and is passionate about providing quality care to patients and their families through the support of informatics.
