    Ontario’s first and only architecture and standards community of practice launches this May. Open to anyone engaged in the province’s electronic health care sector, the community will serve as a forum for architects and standards specialists to collaborate as a provincial body to further the progress of the EHR.

    In addition to focusing on issues facing Ontario’s electronic health care sector, the community will support our EHR architecture and standards governance committees and provide input into provincial architecture documents and standards specifications that are under review.

    Members connect through three touch points:

    • An online space – which will provide access to shared documents, announcements, presentations and a chat room for ongoing dialog;
    • Quarterly community meetings – for presentations and discussions around major initiatives as requested by members;  and
    • Monthly webinars – on topics of interest to enable regular information sharing and provide access to subject matter experts.

    Launching on May 3rd with an in-person and teleconference session, this first gathering will be devoted to single sign on and patient context sharing. Presentations will encourage discussions and on-going dialog aimed at influencing the development of electronic health care in the province.

    Interested in attending or joining the community? Contact architecture@ehealthontario.on.ca, or request access from the eHealth Portal.
