ONIG has just launched its new website.  The go-live of this website represents a significant restructuring of ONIG's online presence and hopefully will streamline future communication with our membership.

As time progresses, further features will be added, including resources and a members-only section.

In an effort to keep ONIG as inclusive as possible, we are currently proposing changing our bylaws to reflect our membership mission by providing consideration to all nurses who wish to be members.  Currently stated in our bylaws, a qualification for ONIG Board role includes the requisite that an individual be a "registered nurse".

"Any person nominated to an elected Board position shall be a Registered Nurse, a member of RNAO and ONIG, and shall continue to be such so long as the nurse holds office" (3.0).

Subsequently, the ONIG board proposes that nurses of any designation can undertake an ONIG Board role

We will open this proposed amendment for discussion/voting at the upcoming AGM, that is being scheduled for March 2015
