Ontario Nursing Informatics Group
    ONTARIO NURSING INFORMATICS GROUP

Do I need to be a member of RNAO to join ONIG?

While we encourage our members to join RNAO and support the work they do for Nurses in Ontario, it is not a prerequisite for membership.  We welcome all classes of RNs, RPNs, students, and retired nurses. Non-nurses are also encouraged to join and help broaden the depth of our membership.

Do I need to be a nurse to join ONIG?

No! We welcome all individuals interested in health informatics, digital health and eHealth to join ONIG.

Membership options:

Many ONIG members sign up for ONIG as an interest group through their yearly registration with the RNAO. If you have done this, then you are already registered with ONIG. For those individuals who did not sign up for ONIG through the RNAO and would like to register, there are two options.

  1. Non-RNAO membership for ONIG ($40.00). Please use this membership route if you are 1) not a member of RNAO and wish to join ONIG; 2) a member of RNAO but do not have ONIG selected as an interest group on your annual renewal form. Fees are due each November 1st.
  2. Student ONIG membership ($20.00). Please use this membership route if you are 1) not a member of RNAO and wish to join ONIG; 2) a member of RNAO but do not have ONIG selected as an interest group on your annual renewal form. Fees are due each November 1st.
